We picnicked at Maymont under that same white blossom tree of
the spring,
now a shady retreat from the midday sun.

I discovered doughnut holes. Intriguing!
Katie & Jenna also conspired to bring us a wee gift:

Initially the artificial stream was switched off so we were by the rocks when Emily said, 'I think they've turned the waterfall on....' Cue a quick scrambling exit from the ledge before we were hit full-force!

Our next path led out & round to a gazebo in which to await the return of the others before our scheduled house tour; the last one of the day so again felt a little rushed.
I think I definitely prefer walking through at my own pace, being able to stop & look closely at what interests me. Still a good day out organised by Katie though, with plenty to do & see.
