Two Weeks In Pictures.

Things got a little busy around here. For one, my hours jumped to av. 54 a week so free time's been at a minimum. Here's what happened aside of time in the 'shop & at the show.

(Awesome shot glasses aquired for Matt from VMFA's sale.)
New Roomie #3 arrived from Staten Island via Pittsburg. She's an eager little puppy
- she gets off work & then wants to go for a walk ?!  I figured I'd show her some of Richmond's prettiest places, heading Canal Walk-wards.

Along by the James & past Tredegar, ending up on 'Bridge, 1865'.

It's a warm, sunny night with a gentle breeze blowing,
the river rushing by & I'm contentedly leafing through the weekly paper.

All is well.

I look up & notice
a band uniform in the near distance:

The Music Man
is striding

towards me,

with Chase, Susan, John et al, hot on his heels.

Way to go to give a girl a break from work.

Breaking News:
Restraining orders are now out on Harold Hill, salesman & stalker.

The following day, no evening show either! We meant to go to the Post Office for stamps but we ended up eating ice-cream at Bev's whilst showing NR#3 the delights of Carytown.

Bygones included.

We made good for Memorial Day weekend too.

Good roommates sort stars to assist with patriotic colour pattern.

Hooray for Red, White & Blue ...
& hooray for creative Googling endeavours too!
New Roomie #4 arrived from FL. We decided upon Sunday brunch to welcome her, intending for Perly's on East Grace. With a recent award for the best biscuits in Richmond, I was certainly up for that. But due to timing of the church-crowd line extending out
of Perly's door plus a matinee also looming for me, we tried our luck over in the Fan,
ending up at Pearl's instead.

It was ... Okay.
Kind of
achingly-hip, cool & trendy, trying too-damn-hard
yuppie bar - with snooty service to boot. Never again.

Ah, a dash of pineapple & a strawberry twist mé·lange
to complement your Southwestern omlette, Madame?

.....
Puh-lease. Just gimme biscuits & be done with all the faff.

Our seventh hour of work on Tuesday involved the mandatory eating of Ice-Cream.

I believe this was helpful practice for understanding the same social event,
as featured in our upcoming production of The Music Man.

Ice-Cream Social stripes.
It was also a "Thanks for your hard work, you interns!"  & "hey to the new ones".

We made our goodbyes to the splendid Mr. JS over Last Day Drinks.
He’s heading home to Mar'lyn (MD) & onwards to new adventures.

Little bit of pre-bar life history right here.
Dooouuug.

Meanwhile back in the 'shop, I've been re-cultivating meece
Town Mouse, Country Mouse
for their post-tour performance at the Dell in a few weeks

& making lots & lots of Aprons for the Six Teen Girls.
