- Cart encompasses both shopping & drinks trolley.
- Rack has replaced Rail as a moveable costume-hanging device.
- Today I began making a Vest. That is to say, a Waistcoat.
But my personal favourite is the closest I've got to a duvet/quilt: Comforter.
A sort of pre-covered quilted duvet. I've slept under one the last two summers but I never knew its name 'til now nor that it was an American equivalent. My new comforter's white, adorned with brown printed leaves. How very comforting. How very Fall.
Happily I spent a good portion of the day with Sarah, my colleague. She's as bi-lingual as myself &, with parents residing in York, also well-versed in European History & the National Trust. Her family trace their roots back, beyond the Mayflower, to the Percys. (What Sarah got up to this summer.)
There's yet more Scottishness afoot with Richmond's 'Highland Games & Celtic Festival' this weekend. "Ye can taik the gal oot o' Scotland but ye cannae taik Scotland awae fae the gal."
Most ridiculous news-related incident today goes to the radio report (courtesy of Messrs Salmond & Cameron & their wee chinwag) that the 2014 Referendum is being fuelled by the demographic who were brought up on Braveheart. Aye, because Scottish independence comes down to Scottish folk being inspired by Mel Gibson and "Freeeeedom". Stow ye gab. I managed to refrain from hurling something sharp & vicious towards the radio.

M.'s new job entails crazy unsociable hours throughout the week, through the night & including Saturday. With any luck, once I'm on run-crew for "Producers" from mid-November, I'll then have Mondays off so we might be able to coincide most of Sunday into Monday. Hopefully. We'll see.

Note to Self: "Button-stands" don't exist in the VaRep Costume Shop.
What's a button-stand?
