Monday Fun (Ginny's First Adventure)

A fluster of paper, tape & packaging finally got Christmas out of the door & passed over to USPS. A spot more of Christmas shopping with an adventure over to Dogwood Dell at Byrd Park with its amphitheater that just begs for summery Shakespearean delights.
The Carillion bell tower (for WWI) reminded me somewhat of Ashton Memorial, with its graceful steps & city-wide views from balconies above. I'd be interested to see whether they have any kind of architectural period in common.

Bird at Byrd Park.
I was also intent of imbibing the pleasures of a local Hardywood Gingerbread Stout before the season ends post-Christmas. A trip round to the brewery gave us closed doors on the shop so only an opportunity to roll a barrel away from the warehouse & I imagine the latter's probably frowned upon. Resolving not to quit the quest until we'd slayed the dragon, we headed to Bogart's where I'd spotted it previously amongst their draft menu offerings.

Success!
Tastes so good. Not overly gingery. Mmm.

Gingerguin.

 Hocking
fraternal hoodie of choice.
Where one goes to become a Cowboy.

I also lifted my self-placed ban & abstention of Turkey, going festive in preparation for next week. Well, I figured it was Time. (Brain was a little confused however:
"Not chicken. Chewy. Hmm, I remember this flavour .... Not chicken.")

            Karaoke Choices.                                                                            But for Katie,

- Name That Film in one?
;)
(A rare & sneaky BC-with-glasses shot
which he will probably hate me for.
