Countdown in the Costume Shop.

I was kept busy my last few weeks, one way or another.

New ironing board cover
with matching sleevehead.

Whilst I might have been winding down, it was still all go with preparations for the Fall tours. All hands on deck as old stock was replenished with green Elf breeches
(The Elves & the Shoemaker);

& Send in the Clown!
 for The Velveteen Rabbit,

Plus Marcia's snazzy Vest.

  Where there is costume crafts, there is Glitter.

A new headwreath for the Fairy who tends the flowers.

: The Velveteen Rabbit

Slowly though, the days & the tasks assigned whittled down. My work here was done;
the Brit's Legacy complete in re-organised stock, in hundreds of labels, in men's suits.

 The last Friday.

Lynn, Sue, Sarah & Marcia.

The four ladies at the heart of my internship with the Rep.

Four ladies responsible for my learning curve over the last season;
for laughter & daily conversation, for keeping me safe & sane; for always providing that ride.
Ensuring that the internship was there to give to me in valuable experience as much as
I was giving back to the theatre in hours worked, shows dressed, laundry flipped.

We went out for lunch, Sue's treat to us all.
 Another city-famous dessert was selected for sharing; something lemony.

I was more impressed however by the reception of Sticky Toffee Pudding, as listed.
So many new fans won by that great British dish!

We exchanged gifts as thank yous & farewells:
a silver flower charm from Williamsburg; pretty drawings of Richmond's landmark buildings; the almighty & revered tome, "Fashion"
for costume research from Kyoto Costume Institute.
... The latter they're shipping directly back for me for which I'm extremely grateful.

5pm that day,
